Chelsfield Park Gardening Club

The Chelsfield Park gardening club has grown since it started in 2021. We meet once a month in Spring, Summer and Autumn, visiting a different private garden on the estate. We've met in gardens where suggestions were wanted for how to solve tricky problems, well established formal gardens, wild gardens, gardens with clever rainwater recovery systems, hidden ponds, large gardens and small gardens. Members are often treated to a hot drink and slice of cake and, in addition to gaining gardening knowledge, it's become a good way to get to know others on the estate.

Gardening club volunteers made the Jubilee Garden and Coronation Garden in the sports ground accessed via the track between 37-39 Oxenden Wood Rd. Since those gardens were created, members meet regularly to maintain the areas so that they remain tidy and a focal point for the community. We plan to further enhance the sports ground with more gardening related projects. If anyone would like to volunteer, please contact Chris below.

If you are a keen gardener, want ideas or advice for your garden, or would like to join on a community project, we'd love for you to join us.

We keep in touch over email and through our WhatsApp group. To join the club please email or send a WhatsApp message to 07818 072 204.
