Your CPRA subscription is moving to Direct Debit
Dear Members,
As voted through at the recent AGM, we are having to increase our Annual Subscription from £10 to £25. This is the first time since 1998 that it has been increased. In order to collect the new subscriptions, we need you to set up a direct debit arrangement. Please click on the link below to set it up:
We would like everyone to do this before 31 December 2024 if possible. Once you have authorised the direct debit, you will then need to cancel any existing standing order with the CPRA. If you accidentally end up paying twice we will contact you to arrange a refund!
I have set out below the key reasons for the increase. We trust that you agree that this is necessary, but please contact me if you have any questions.
Kind regards
Andrew Cox
CPRA Chairman
- The CPRA has spent more money than it has received in three of the last four years.
- Our costs have increased significantly, predominantly driven by higher insurance and more maintenance of the recreation ground.
- We have also chosen to develop the recreation ground with pretty gardens and to support the defibrillators on the estate by funding the annual maintenance costs.
- We are conscious that while we have good cash reserves, they are nearly all ring-fenced for a potential defence of the Covenants, which should at least keep pace with inflation.
- With expenses of around £7,500 per year, we are looking to residents to step in.
- An increase to £25 should be sufficient to make sure we don't need to increase this further for a number of years.
